Frankly, for a long, long time, we did not think much of Sabots

Yes, they were capable of fine accuracy, but at the cost of knockdown power and penetration. We considered most sabots on the market to be weaklings. Only after several years of research and experimenting did we arrive at saboted slugs we felt worthy of the Brenneke name… like the Red Magic. We adapted the traditional Brenneke design to sabot technology, arriving at a projectile with 58% more frontal area than standard .50 caliber slugs, retaining the massive energy transfer and deep penetration we are known for.

The Red Magic is attractively priced, too, so they’re easy on your wallet. But very hard on a deer.
