Description

CR1 is a versatile cheek rest specifically made for weapons with stocks of composite materials.

  • Suitable for over 90 models we cover the basics models on the market.
  • Almost every rifle being produced today have stocks that are suitable for open sights, the mechanical fixed reticles which usually is factory mounted.
  • But even factory-mounted rectiles are not individually adapted in height which the Adjustable cheek rest CR1 solves.
  • In most cases the owner chooses to retrofit some form of external rectile such as Aimpoint® or other traditional rifle scopes of varying size.
  • It causes a bad or non existing plant of the shooter's cheek against the comb and shooting is adversely affected.
  • Our cheek rest CR1 provides a solution to quickly achieve accurate and ergonomically correct planting of the cheek, regardless if shooting with factory mounted rectiles and/or retrofitted scopes.
  • With simple operation, the height is adjusted according to user needs and circumstances with focus on high quality and improved ergonomics of the weapon.
  • With or without the mounted reticle, we set a new standard with the adjustable cheek rest CR series.

*Note: Professional gunsmith installation recommended.

    Kalix CR1 Adjustable Comb

Posted by Leslie Mikolajczyk on 2021 Nov 28th

Easy installation, template to drill holes is accurate. I drilled slightly smaller holes to have a closer tolerance around the pillars and adjustment screw. I did the drilling by hand but would recommend a drill press as the polymer stock can grab the drill bit and pull it as you drill though. Makes a big difference for eye alignment with the scope. There is a chance the bolt can touch the rest but you can verify this while adjusting the height. Little expensive but it’s not made somewhere that people get paid a few dollars a day to work. A great upgrade to my Sako 85 Finnlight

    Excellent upgrade

Easy to install but you need the right drill bits, stepped hole bits are what I recommend. I installed this along with a timney trigger for my ruger American predator (308) and it feels like a completely different rifle now without excessive weight or bulk added. Excellent upgrade with oem look, very sturdy, and well worth the money. I recommend stuffing some foam in the stock while you're at it to kill the hollowness of the stock.
