Chassis weight

  • Total weight: 14.7 oz
  • Avoiding chassis flex — our engineering
Starting as a solid billet block, this chassis is precision-machined into a lightweight but rigid 14.7-ounce structure that resists torsion and supports consistent accuracy. The built-in access port for the Supergrade barrel locking screw allows barrel swaps or tension adjustments without removing the action—preserving bedding and maintaining zero. For non-tang receivers, the included stabilizer screw uses minimal upward tension (about 10 in-lb) to secure the action without inducing forward pressure. Shooters using a KIDD Rear Tang benefit from full tang support without needing the stabilizer screw.

Installation & break-in tips

  • Install the tang filler for non-tang receivers before dropping the action into the chassis
  • Tighten the stabilizer screw hand-tight only—approximately 10 in-lb
  • Do not over-torque, as excess pressure will push the action forward
  • If using a KIDD receiver with Rear Tang, skip the stabilizer screw entirely
  • Confirm ideal fit with your chosen AR-15 grip and accessories
  • Recheck accessory torques after your first shooting session
