Description

BENEFITS of the Accubrake DST

  • Reduce Muzzle Jump: Common in the competition scene, the side ports of the Accubrake DST reduce muzzle rise keeping shooters on target.
  • Keeps debris out of your face: With gases being directed to the sides of the muzzle there are less chances of debris being blown back into the shooters face.
  • No Gunsmith Needed

**NOTE: To ensure compatibility with the widest range of Weatherby barrels, some brakes may not fit flush with the barrel**

Accubrake is sized for Barrel Contour.

Accubrake DST is sized for both Barrel Contour and Barrel Length.

CAUTION:

THREADED OBJECTS HAVE A TENDENCY TO LOOSEN UNDER RECOIL. CLEAR THE CHAMBER AND MAGAZINE OF ALL AMMUNITION, CHECK THE TIGHTNESS OF THE BRAKE BEFORE SHOOTING AND AFTER EVERY FIVE SHOTS.

ALWAYS WEAR SUITABLE HEARING PROTECTION WHEN FIRING A RIFLE WITH A MUZZLE BRAKE INSTALLED AS NOISE LEVELS ARE INCREASED. ALWAYS MAKE SURE NO ONE IS NEAR THE BARREL, AS BLAST TO ALL SIDES CAN BE SEVERE.

MUZZLE DEVICES ARE CALIBER SPECIFIC. INSTALLING A SMALLER CALIBER BRAKE ON A LARGER CALIBER RIFLE WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BRAKE AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

ATTACHING THE ACCUBRAKE DST

1. While pointed in a safe direction, open the bolt of the firearm and physically clear the chamber and magazine of all ammunition.
2. Remove any installed muzzle device or thread protector from the rifle. Visually inspect the muzzle threads of the barrel to ensure they are free of debris.
3. Ensure the locking nut is screwed fully onto the brake prior to installation to your rifle
4. Screw the brake and locking nut clockwise onto the muzzle threads of your rifle until it is fully seated against the back of the threads
5. Loosen the brake to your desired orientation and maintain the desired position using an adjustable wrench on the flat portions of the brake.
6. Tighten the nut while maintaining the desired orientation of the brake.

DETACHING THE ACCUBRAKE DST

1. While pointed in a safe direction, open the bolt of the firearm and physically clear the chamber and magazine of all ammunition.
2. Using an adjustable wrench on the flat portions of the brake, unscrew the brake counterclockwise. Once loose, it can be unscrewed by hand.
3. Remove the locking nut by unscrewing counterclockwise by hand.
4. It is recommended to then reinstall the locking nut to the brake during storage or non-use to prevent accidental loss.
