    3M PELTOR Tactical Sport Electronic Headset

    Great ears. Far better fit and function than Walker Razors I had and hopefully will last a lot longer. Peltors also position well when shooting my rifle and don't clatter against my my stock. Loud detonations are seriously deadened with the Gel Ear surrounds (a must with any muff but an 'extra' you must buy separately, only my wife's Sorbin muffs include them) as even the sound of our BB pistols is deadened. Directional background sound (below threshold of a firearm's 'bang') is clear and the volume is very adjustable. Instructions are clear, batteries are quite easy to install, the included orange muff-covers click into place nicely, and make my head easier to identify in a crowd of muffed shooters. Audio controls are surprisingly easy to operate when compared to muffs with rotating knobs - even with gloves on. Can't tell about Peltor durability yet and though they look and feel very durable (they'd better be for the price 3M is asking), my ex-Razors had PRC-made electronics that died in less than a year so we'll have to wait and see about Peltor electronics. All in all a very nice electro-muff and a worth a serious look by any shooter. So far, so good.

    The very best

    I bought this 2nd pair as a spare, because from the looks of things this item might get discontinued soon, and replaced with fancier models with Bluetooth and a plastic band that breaks. I prefer a metal band. I wear this headset both hunting and at the range. It gives me superhuman hearing when hunting, and excellent hearing protection at the range.
