Luxus repeaters of the series 1517
The Match 64 action has a lighter construction than the Match 54. Because of its precision, outstanding quality and service life, it is also used in our small bore target rifle model 1903. Thousands of small bore marksmen around the world have had their first experience and their first success using this rifle. The .17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire (HMR) is one of the fastest rimfire cartridges ever developed and widely considered to be the most perfect, well rounded varmint hunting cartridge ever invented. With a muzzle velocity of 777 m/s (2550 fps) when shooting the 17 grain cop-per jacketed bullet, the .17 HMR offers an extremenly flat trajectory. The cartridge also offers a wide range of bullet choices to suit many different hunting needs. Based on the original .22 WMR rimfire cartridge, the .17 HMR has developed a strong following among varmint and small game hunters around the world. The use of a true copper jacketed bullet made with a high level of precision takes advantage of the ANSCHÜTZ precision match barrel, allowing the shooter to take aim confidently out past 100 meters.
Barreled Action
The action is used in the ANSCHÜTZ Luxus repeaters 1416/1417 and 1516/1517. This is a bolt action with cam cocking, claw extractor, additional cartridge holder and ejector. Telescopic sight mounting is by an 0.43" wide ANSCHÜTZ Wave Style V-block dovetail rail or by additional drilled and tapped holes. The sliding safety catch onthe right hand side blocks the trigger sear in the safe position and simultaneously lifts the trigger sear and bolt release latch. The bolt can also be opened in the safe position, allowing unloading the firearm with the safety engaged.
Trigger
ANSCHÜTZ target two-stage and single-stage triggers have always set the standard for quality, reliability, and precision. Barrel
The heavy cylindrical precision barrels with excellent shooting performance are manufactured according to the same ANSCHÜTZ special process, used for the manufacture of the world-famous ANSCHÜTZ target barrels. The same also applies to the manufacturing process of the chamber and the recessed muzzle.
Sight set
This model is delivered without sight. However the receiver is equipped with threaded holes for an individual scope mount.
Stock
Well-balanced, handy classical hunting stock made of walnut. With straight comb without cheek piece, non-slip checkering on pistol grip and forend. Lacquered with black synthetic butt plate and sling swivel studs.
