Description
In 1864, while on a hurried trek to a gold-rich region of northern Montana, four prospectors spotted signs of gold in the Helena area. After striking out up north, they returned to Helena for one last chance to make their fortune, discovering a rich deposit of placer gold, staking their claim to what they would name Last Chance Gulch. This served as our inspiration for the new 535BK-251 Gold Class Bugout®. This precious EDC features a titanium frame comprised of an integrated bolster with a faux-hammered finish and a Fatcarbon® Stellar onlay infused with gold flakes. The M390 blade features a dual-tone Cerakote® with a map of Last Chance Gulch engraved on the back, and the knife shines with gold-plated hardware, including the thumb studs, backspacer, and AXIS® bar. A black oxide clip custom-machined with a dynamite detonator cutout rounds out the look. Limited to 500 pieces, don’t pass up this once-in-a-lifetime find.
- THIS BUGOUT STRIKES GOLD
Inspired by the grit and gold rush of Montana’s Last Chance Gulch, this limited-edition knife honors a story of determination and reward. With materials and finishes that speak to both heritage and innovation, this Gold Class release marks a premium evolution of our most iconic EDC platform. - HOW IT'S MADE
Every Benchmade knife begins with high-grade steel, laser-cut for precision and strength. Each blade is meticulously ground, beveled, and finished to exacting standards, ensuring exceptional performance and durability. Our handles are milled and machined in-house to the tightest tolerances, then hand-assembled and sharpened by expert technicians. With over thirty years of manufacturing excellence behind every edge, our knives are proudly crafted in our state-of-the-art facility in Oregon City, Oregon. - USE & CARE
Proper care and regular maintenance help make your Benchmade knife yours, for life. Here are some tips for keeping your Benchmade in peak condition:
- Prevent Rust: All steels, regardless of grade or price, can eventually rust. To avoid corrosion, always keep your knife clean, dry, and lightly lubricated. If rust or spotting appears, a quality semi-chrome metal polish can usually restore the finish.
- Hand-Wash Only: Always hand-wash your knife with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry thoroughly.
- Use as Intended: Benchmade knives are precision cutting tools. Do not use your knife as a pry-bar, screwdriver, chisel, or punch—unless specifically designed for those functions.
- Sharpen with Care: If sharpening at home, avoid grinding wheels and high-speed machinery, as they can damage the blade. Use appropriate hand-sharpening methods for best results.
- Tighten Hardware: Over time, handle, pivot, and pocket clip screws may loosen. Use T6 and T10 Torx drivers for adjustments and apply a small amount of releasable thread-locker to maintain secure fittings.
