Derya TM-22 Flash
The Shooting Centre had the best price for this model out of all the other big store sellers. I wanted to try a polymer rifle and the TM-22 has been a popular firearm. Out of the box I was having some light strikes but I’m familiar with taking guns apart so I disassembled it. I quickly noticed the firing pin felt a little gritty and not a smooth action. After cleaning the bolt, lightly greasing the firing pin, oiling the whole deal, it felt much better. After re assembly, the firearm functioned flawlessly. I could see the mark left from the firing pin on the spent shell casing was normal now. No more light strikes and didn’t have anymore problems. The firearm is light and pretty accurate. I’m totally happy with this purchase. It’s one of the least expensive semi auto .22lr rifles available. The only cons I can mention are: Handguard to receiver fitment. The picatinny is not level where the two come together. I feel Derya could have done better with that and it’s on every Flash model. It’s aesthetically unpleasing only. Would like to see a last round bolt hold open without relying on the magazine to do the job. As soon as you pull the magazine, the bolt closes. There’s one more thing that bugs me on all TM-22 models. To clean the bolt you have to remove your scope or red dot. Pull the picatinny rail off to access the bolt. I can never get my red dot back on zero without slight adjustment after this. Other then a few small details, the rifle is outstanding. Great value and it’s very fun to shoot.

I have ran almost 600 shots through it and have been consistently fighting out of battery detonation
