Helikon-Tex Hawaiian Shirt: Brushstroke Camo

The Hawaiian Shirt combines a relaxed summer style with military detail hidden in the print.

We designed each print to combine the vibe of a Hawaiian shirt with details inspired by history and the military. Thanks to this, the shirt keeps a light, holiday character, but on closer look, reveals symbolic references.

Brushstroke

The war in Rhodesia (1964-1979, in what is now Zimbabwe) influenced modern equipment and camouflage patterns. Inspired by this piece of history, we created the Brushstroke pattern inspired by Rhodesian camouflage.

This camouflage was created to break up the soldier's silhouette visually. The brown and green patches on a sandy background are not all there is. Among the shapes on the fabric, you will find characteristic types of weapons used during operations in former Rhodesia: the AK-47 carbine, the RPK with a 40-round magazine, and the FN FAL rifle.

Comfortable fabric and a loose fit

We made the shirt from Cotton Blend, a soft, breathable fabric. Thanks to the combination of cotton with a small addition of elastane (3%), the fabric fits well on the body, does not restrict movement, and works well on hot days.

The shirt maintains the relaxed character of a classic Hawaiian style while adding several practical details for everyday use. The loose fit, short sleeves, and breathable construction work well on warm days.

  The shirt is fastened with snaps that imitate classic buttons on the outside.
