Mossberg 590 7-Shot Shotgun

I purchased this shot gun for protection while out in the bush, I chose it over the Winchester defender as per the Mossberg reputation. I took it out to do a little target practice and run a few different types of ammo through it both 2 3/4" as well as 3" it had a hard time picking up rounds after the first round was shot, it really had a hard time cycling rounds. I sent a message to mossberg and there response was to clean the firearm of all the factory grease and oil and re-lube with a good quality gun oil and put at least 50 rounds through it to break it in. so if purchasing this fire arm be prepared to spend another $100+ to get it functioning properly. this would be a big problem in a bear defence situation and I have 3 friends with the defender that have not experienced any issues with there shot guns. just thought people should know what my experience has been and hopefully its not a common one.
