Okay Condition - Good Value
Was looking around for a Model 1911 Swiss Infantry Rifle and found out CSC had rack-grade ones in stock. I wasn't sure what condition to expect, but was pleasantly surprised given how much this costs compared to select-grade alternatives from elsewhere. The wood was in much better condition than the metal (and has a neat striping along the stock), and the metal in better condition than the leather sling. The rifling appears pretty good, and the barrel was rust-free, but was quite dirty. I took the rifle down to its base parts, gave it a good cleaning up and refreshed some of the original finish (including re-oiling the stock, cleaning and reconditioning the sling, and touching-up the bluing on the metal - I bought this rifle for functionality not collector's value), and it now looks to be in much better shape than when I got it. Could definitely recommend this as an option if Swiss milsurp is on your to-buy list.
